New Member Promotion Offer Terms
Offer terms for The Chime Visa® Debit Card And Chime Credit Builder Secured Visa® Credit Card. Offer Valid 3/13/25-5/5/25.
This new member offer (the “Offer”) to open a Chime Checking Account as a first-time Chime account holder and use your Chime Visa® Debit Card (“Debit Card”) and / or Credit Builder Secured Visa® Credit Card (“Credit BuilderCard”) is provided by Chime Financial, Inc. (“Chime"). Your participation in the Offer is subject to these offer terms (“Offer Terms”).
This Offer is composed of three components - 1) a 10% cash back offer on qualifying debit and / or credit purchases (“10% Cash Back”), 2) a spend bonus (the “$100 Spend Bonus”), and 3) a direct deposit reward (the “Direct Deposit Reward”). The Offer, including these Offer Terms, is subject to the Governing Law and Arbitration provisions of the agreements governing your Chime Checking Account and Credit Builder Card.

OFFER SUMMARY
You can receive up to $350.00 total maximum cash rewards when you open a Chime Checking Account as a first-time Chime account holder from the applicable promotional landing page, make qualifying purchases with your Debit Card or Credit Builder Card, and receive a Qualifying Direct Deposit (as defined below) of $200.00 or more to your Chime Checking Account. For the 10% Cash Back, you can earn 10% cash back up to a total of $150.00 when you make Eligible Purchases with your Debit Card or Credit Builder Card. For the $100 Spend Bonus, if you make at least 15 Eligible Purchases totaling $500.00 or more during the Offer Period, you can earn a $100.00 reward. For the Direct Deposit Reward, if you receive a Qualifying Direct Deposit of $200.00 or more to your Chime Checking Account during the Offer Period, you can earn a $100.00 reward. These qualifying activities for the Offer must be completed within 30 calendar days of opening the Chime Checking Account (the “Offer Period”). You must open your new Chime Checking Account by May 5, 2025 to participate. In order to receive the cash back rewards and two $100 rewards as detailed in these Offer Terms, you must meet the eligibility criteria described in the Offer Eligibility section below.
ELIGIBLE PURCHASES AND EXCLUSIONS
“Eligible Purchases” mean the dollar amount of debit or credit purchases of goods and services you make at a merchant using your physical or virtual Chime Debit Card or physical or virtual card associated with your Credit Builder account everywhere Visa debit and credit cards are accepted, minus returns and other credits. Eligible Purchases exclude cash advances, ATM withdrawals, over-the-counter (“OTC”) withdrawals, gift cards, disputed transactions, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, tax payments, transfers to third party payment accounts, money transfers of any kind, wire transfers, ATM charges, travelers checks, money orders, foreign currency payments, casino gaming or gambling, cryptocurrency purchases or funding, rent payments, bill payments, payments to securities broker dealers, or any other transactions that Chime may determine in its sole discretion are not eligible to earn cash back.
OFFER ELIGIBILITY AND EARNING REWARDS
This section outlines the eligibility requirements for the Offer. You must meet the applicable eligibility requirements in order to receive the Offer rewards. You must receive an invitation to participate in this Offer via your Chime app, SMS text message, push notification, email, or advertisement.
To be eligible for the Offer, you must open a Chime Checking Account as a first-time Chime account holder via the applicable promotional landing page, which you can navigate to from a link provided in a mobile push notification, SMS text message, in-app notification hub message, in-app banner, or social media advertisements. As a new Chime Checking Account holder who opened the account via the applicable promotional landing page, you are eligible to participate in the following components of the Offer by completing the requisite steps as listed. If you complete the applicable eligibility requirements of the various component offers, you are eligible to receive the cash back or applicable reward of that respective component. If you participate and complete the eligibility requirements for all components, you are able to receive up to the max total reward of $350.00.
- For the 10% Cash Back, you must fund your Chime Checking Account or Credit Builder Secured Deposit Account via the methods available such as direct deposit, transfer, cash deposit, or Split your pay. Once you’ve funded the applicable account, use your Debit Card or Credit Builder Card to make Eligible Purchases. You may earn 10% cash back up to $150.00 total on Eligible Purchases. Only debit or credit transactions made during the Offer Period are eligible. After receiving the maximum reward amount for this component of the Offer, Eligible Purchases will no longer receive cash back rewards. Purchases resulting in fractions of cash back rewards will be rounded up to the nearest whole cent if equal to or greater than $0.005 and rounded down if less than $0.005.
- For the $100 Spend Bonus, if you utilize your Debit Card or Credit Builder Card to make at least 15 Eligible Purchases that cumulatively total $500.00 or more, then you are eligible to receive a one-time $100.00 bonus. Only debit or credit card purchases made during the Offer Period are eligible. You must also activate one of your physical Chime cards during the Offer Period in order to receive the $100 Spend Bonus. If you used both your Debit Card and Credit Builder Card to make Eligible Purchases, you must activate one of those physical Chime cards.
- For the Direct Deposit Reward, if you receive a single Qualifying Direct Deposit of $200.00 or more in your Chime Checking Account during the Offer Period, then you are eligible to receive a $100.00 bonus. A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a direct deposit from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer by Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposit OR Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions, and any deposit to which Chime deems to not be a qualifying direct deposit are not qualifying direct deposits.
This Offer to open a Chime Checking Account as a first-time Chime account holder expires on May 4, 2025, so you must open the new account by then. You will have 30 calendar days from opening of the new Chime Checking Account to complete qualifying activities, as described above, the Offer Period. For avoidance of doubt, you are not eligible for this Offer if you did not receive an advertisement in your Chime app or in any other invitation method described above.

You may earn the cash back rewards during the Offer Period, along with the $100 Spend Bonus and Direct Deposit Reward, as long as your Chime Checking Account is open and in good standing. You will not be able to earn rewards if your Chime Checking Account is closed or suspended for any reason.
This Offer is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
WHEN YOU WILL RECEIVE REWARDS
- 10% Cash Back: Cash back rewards on an Eligible Purchase earned during the Offer Period will be transferred automatically to your Chime Checking Account within seven (7) business days of the Eligible Purchase debit transaction posting in your Chime Checking and / or within seven (7) business days of final processing of the Eligible Purchase credit transaction with your Credit Build Account. For credit transactions, in the event that your Credit Builder account is closed or suspended after final processing of an Eligible Purchase, you will still receive the earned cash back rewards only if your Chime Checking Account remains open and in good standing.
- $100 Spend Bonus: If Chime determines that you’ve made the 15+ Eligible Purchases equaling at least $500.00 in accordance with these Offer Terms, the one-time $100.00 bonus will be transferred to your newly opened Chime Checking Account by June 30, 2025. You will not receive this reward unless you activated one of your physical Chime cards during the Offer Period.
- Direct Deposit Reward: The one-time $100.00 bonus will be transferred to your newly opened Chime Checking Account within seven (7) business after you receive a single Qualifying Direct Deposit of $200.00 or more to that account in accordance with these Offer Terms.
EXPIRATION AND FORFEITURE
Earned cash back rewards do not expire. Any earned cash back rewards for this Offer that have not been transferred to your Chime Checking Account will be forfeited if your Chime Checking Account is closed by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A. for any reason.
HOW TO VIEW YOUR REWARDS
The cash rewards for the 10% Cash Back, the $100 Spend Bonus, and the Direct Deposit Reward you earn will show in the Checking Account section within your Chime app and on your Chime Checking Account statement.
USING YOUR REWARDS
Once any earned cash rewards are transferred to your Chime Checking Account, they will be available for use by you, subject to the terms and conditions of your Chime Checking Account.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Chime reserves the right to take action if it sees evidence of fraud, abuse, misuse, or suspicious activity, as determined by Chime in its sole discretion. Such action may include but not be limited to:
- Disqualifying you from this Offer
- Reducing or taking away earned cash rewards that have not yet been transferred to your Chime Checking Account.
- Suspending or closing your Credit Builder Account
You acknowledge that this Offer is a promotional offer as to which no consideration has been paid to you and that cash rewards earned, but not yet paid, have no cash value. Unless and until the cash back rewards are transferred to your Chime Checking Account, no tangible or intangible right, title, or interest in the cash back rewards has been earned. Nothing herein requires Chime to transfer any cash back rewards to your Chime Checking Account if the offer has been canceled, terminated or suspended.
OFFER MODIFICATIONS
Chime reserves the right to change these Offer Terms at any time in its sole discretion. Changes to these Offer Terms may include, among other things, adding a cap to the amount of Eligible Purchases that will qualify for cash back rewards, modifying Eligible Purchases, excluding transactions, imposing additional restrictions or terminating the Offer.
CASH BACK REWARDS ADJUSTMENTS
Adjustments will be made to your cash back rewards as the result of canceled transactions, refunds or other credits from merchants, and other credits to your Chime Checking Account or Credit Builder Card Account (including those resulting from successful transaction disputes). Adjustments may cause a negative balance in your cash back rewards and will be shown in the Chime app as a negative cash back rewards balance.
