Chime Deals Terms and Conditions
By using this service you acknowledge and agree to these Chime Financial, Inc. (“Chime”) Deals terms and conditions (“Terms”) and the category-specific merchant terms, as seen in your Chime mobile app. These Terms and the category-specific merchant terms (defined below) apply to the cash back offers (each offer a “Merchant Offer”, or collectively, the “Merchant Offers”) listed in the Chime mobile app Chime Deals hub (the “Hub”). These Terms provide information on how you will receive cash back after you make a qualifying purchase at a participating merchant (“Merchant”). The category-specific merchant terms may include additional restrictions associated with the Merchant Offer and should be reviewed in conjunction with these Terms. These Terms may be amended from time to time. Chime may terminate the Chime Deals program or any specific Merchant Offer(s) at any time at its sole discretion. Your continued use of the Hub signifies your acceptance of any subsequent modifications to these Terms.
Chime provides cash rewards based on your account information, transaction history and data it receives from its third-party service providers. The Merchant Offers in the Hub are sourced and provided by our third-party service providers. If you have Chime+ status, you may have access to additional Merchant Offers or variations of Merchant Offers not available to members without Chime+ status. Each Merchant Offer will include its own set of terms and conditions, referred to as the “category-specific merchant terms,” which provide more information (and any applicable restrictions) on the details of that Merchant Offer in the Hub.
Cash back rewards are solely for the benefit of the owner of the associated account. Merchant Offers are solely for promotional purposes and cannot be sold, purchased, or exchanged for cash or other valuable consideration. These Terms govern the Chime member experience, including how Chime Members receive cash back. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with the terms of a third-party service provider, these Terms shall control.
Member participation in the Merchant Offers in the Chime mobile app is subject to these Terms and is subject to the Governing Law and Arbitration provisions of the agreement governing the Member’s Chime Checking Account (“Checking Account”) (known as the Deposit Account Agreement), and those specific sections of that agreement are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The terms governing Merchant Offers are determined and provided by our third-party service providers (as seen in the Hub), and cash back is provided by Chime according to those terms. We may validate your purchase of products or services associated with a Merchant Offer using retailer or transaction data, receipt data using unique identifiers such as card number or phone number, or your location as permitted in your device settings. If Chime or its third-party service providers are not able to validate a purchase, if you return, modify, or cancel a purchase, or if the transaction is determined to be fraudulent, there is no obligation to provide any cash back reward for that purchase, and any previously provided cash back reward may be revoked for that purchase.
OFFER SUMMARY
Eligible Chime members (“Members”) may participate in the Merchant Offers by: (1) activating the applicable Merchant Offer as described in the Merchant Offer in the Hub via tapping either the (+) button, “activate offer button,” or other button displayed for the purpose of activating a specific Merchant Offer within the Hub prior to making a qualifying purchase at the Merchant, unless otherwise indicated in the Hub; and (2) using their Chime Visa® Debit Card (“Debit Card”), secured Chime Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card (“Credit Builder Card”), Chime Cash Rewards Visa® Credit Card (“Cash Rewards Card”), or any future iteration of Chime cards, (individually each card may generally be referred to as a “Chime card”, or collectively “Chime cards”) at the Merchant’s point-of-sale (“POS”) device to make a qualifying purchase within the specified period of time as stated in the Hub of activating the Merchant Offer in the Hub. For Merchant Offers that state “use a physical Chime card” in the Hub, the Member must swipe or tap their physical Chime card. Only if permitted by the Merchant, the Member may also provide their virtual Chime card information to the Merchant to make the qualifying purchase. For Merchant Offers that state “use any Chime card”, you may use a physical Chime card, virtual Chime card, or Chime card via digital wallet (such as Apple Pay or Google Wallet) to pay the Merchant directly, so long as the Merchant accepts those various forms of payment. Member does not need to pre-select which Chime card they will use prior to participating in a Merchant Offer.
Ability to earn cash back for each Merchant Offer may expire if a specified period of time is stated in the Hub. After expiration, as applicable, you may reactivate a Merchant Offer by taking the steps indicated in the Hub. However, there is no guarantee that the exact same Merchant Offer will be available again after expiration in the Hub. Members may earn cash back as long as their Checking Account is open and in good standing and Chime continues to offer Merchant Offers. Members will not be eligible to earn cash back rewards if their Checking Account is closed or suspended for any reason.
You agree to receive notice by email, in-app banner, or push notification of Merchant Offers in the Hub. The Merchant Offers are void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
QUALIFYING PURCHASES
Please refer to the category-specific merchant terms in the Hub for full details on qualifying purchases. Some restrictions apply. Third-party service providers are responsible for identifying qualifying purchases.
EARNING CASH BACK REWARDS
Please refer to the category-specific merchant terms in the Hub for full details. While there is no Chime-specific cap on the amount of cash back rewards that a Chime Member may earn by participating in the Merchant Offers in the Hub, there may be exclusions and/or caps on qualifying purchases per Merchant Offer. There may be restrictions on the number of Merchant Offers that you may activate at any one time. Please refer to the instructions and detail screens in the Hub for more details. If you cancel a Merchant Offer after activation, but you make an otherwise eligible purchase, you will not receive the applicable cash back.
WHEN YOU WILL RECEIVE CASH BACK REWARDS
Cash back rewards earned on qualifying purchases will be transferred to the Member’s Checking Account, unless otherwise indicated on the Merchant Offer in the Hub, generally within ten (10) business days after the qualifying purchase is made using their Debit Card, Credit Builder Card, Cash Rewards Card, or future iterations of Chime cards.
Once any earned cash back rewards are transferred to a Member’s Checking Account, unless otherwise indicated on the Merchant Offer in the Hub, they will be available for use, subject to the terms and conditions of their Checking Account. The cash back rewards you earn on qualifying purchases will show in the Checking Account section within your Chime app and on your Checking Account statement.
EXPIRATION AND FORFEITURE
Earned cash back rewards do not expire, so long as the Member’s Checking Account is open and in good standing.
If a Member closes their Checking Account, any earned cash back rewards not yet transferred to their Checking Account will be forfeited.
If the Checking Account is suspended for any reason, the Member may no longer participate in Chime Deals unless the Checking Account is reinstated, if reinstated. Any earned cash back rewards prior to account suspension may not be transferred until the Checking Account is reinstated, if reinstated.
CASH BACK REWARDS ADJUSTMENTS
Chime reserves the right to make adjustments to your cash back rewards as the result of canceled transactions, fraudulent transactions, refunds or other credits from merchants, and other credits to your Checking Account, Credit Builder Card, Cash Rewards Card, or future iterations of Chime cards (including those resulting from successful transaction disputes). If Chime determines that an adjustment is required due to a canceled transaction, fraudulent transaction, refund or other credit from the merchant, or other credit to your Checking account, the previously awarded cash back will be deducted from your Checking Account. Adjustments may cause a negative balance in your Checking Account, in the event that the amount in your Checking Account is less than the amount of the required adjustment. If an adjustment is made, it will be shown in the Chime app as a negative cash back rewards amount. Please refer to your Deposit Account Agreement for information on how a negative balance in your Checking Account is addressed.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Chime reserves the right to cancel Chime Deals, or terminate eligibility in compliance with these Terms, at any time with or without prior notice. You acknowledge that the Merchant Offers in the Hub are promotional offers to which no consideration has been paid to you and that the Merchant Offers have no cash value. Unless and until the cash back rewards are transferred to your Checking Account, no tangible or intangible right, title, or interest in the cash back rewards has been earned. Nothing herein requires Chime to transfer any cash back rewards to your Checking Account if the Merchant Offer has been canceled, terminated, or suspended. Chime reserves the right to change these Terms at any time in its sole discretion.

The secured Chime Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The Chime Cash Rewards Visa® Credit Card is issued by Stride Bank, N.A. pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. These credit cards may be used everywhere Visa credit cards are accepted. Chime Deals participants are not subject to the following requirements or benefits if accessing Upside sourced Merchant Offers in the Hub: check-in at retail establishments, receipt upload, redemption fees, distribution requests, payout processes, or third-party referral programs.
