Spending with a debit or credit card is convenient – but there are some situations where you need cash in a hurry. Is there anything worse than finding out a delicious street taco stand doesn’t have a card reader? Have you ever wanted to tip your valet or gas station attendant but didn’t have cash on hand?
No cash? No worries! For those moments when you need cash, Chime has access to more than 50,000 fee-free ATMs¹ all across the country. The question is: how do you find one?
How to find in-network ATMs near me
We’ve all heard that piece of advice: “Want to avoid ATM fees? Then don’t use ATMs outside your card’s network!” But one challenge to finding an ATM or cash back location with any card provider is locating one within your card’s network.
Fortunately, Chime takes the hassle out of finding the right ATM.
There are two ways for Chime members to find ATMs and cash back locations:
- By searching in the app
- With the ATM Finder on Chime’s website
Keep an eye out for Chime branded ATMs at a number of Walgreens and Circle K locations.
How to find ATMs and cash back locations in the app
The Chime app is the go-to spot for most members when they need cash in their area. Finding Chime ATMs in the app takes just a moment – all you have to do is:
- Open the Chime app and log into your account.
- Tap the Move tab and then tap Cash Map to find ATM and cash back locations.
- Allow your device to share your location with the app automatically for the map to appear.
- You can tap Walgreens only to find locations where you can also deposit cash fee-free.
A list of nearby locations will pop up. The app orders the ATM locations from closest to furthest away so you can get to the right one as soon as possible. When possible, the app includes the address, directions, and opening hours.
Once the retailer accepts your cash, the funds will be transferred to your selected Chime Account. Barcode and debit card cash deposits land in the Checking Account. Credit Builder card cash deposits first go through your Card Account and then land in your Secured Account. Cash deposit fees may apply if using a retailer other than Walgreens and Duane Reade.
Using Chime’s ATM Finder
So you stayed at a friend’s house and forgot your phone charger, and now you need some cash before you head back home. What do you do if you can’t use the app and need to find an ATM near you?
- Visit the Chime ATM page (hopefully your friend is kind enough to let you borrow their laptop).
- Scroll to the search bar and type in your ZIP code or city and state, or allow your device to share your location with Chime.
- The ATM Finder will show you a map of nearby ATMs. Choose the best location for you, and get your money!
Where are fee-free ATMs for Chime members?
You can access fee-free ATMs for Chime members and get cash back on purchases at many major retailers. CVS Pharmacy®, Target®, 7-Eleven®, Walgreens®, and Circle K are examples of retailers where you’ll find Chime ATMs or where you’ll be able to get cash back when you need it.
As an added bonus, you can also deposit cash at any Walgreens location without paying a fee.
Don’t have any of these retailers nearby? No worries. Just check the Chime app or website for other locations. With 50,000+ ATMs and 85,000+ cash back locations available, you’ll be surprised at just how convenient Chime is.

How do I withdraw money from Chime without a card?
Some banks and credit unions may allow you to withdraw money without a physical card; this is called “cardless ATM” or “contactless ATM” access.
Unfortunately, there are no Chime cardless ATMs at this time. Because there are currently no Chime contactless ATMs, you’ll need to use your physical card to withdraw cash at a nearby Chime ATM location.
Benefits of in-network ATMs

By becoming a Chime member, you’ll have access to other helpful benefits like early direct deposit³ and 24/7 human customer support.
